Harbor porpoise in Hel is a micro-museum dedicated to Baltic porpoises, an endangered species. It is worth going there during your holidays in Jurata.

The museum is part of Of the Maritime Station Professor Krzysztof Skora, Institute of Oceanography, University of Gdańsk.

The harbor porpoise is the newest facility of the institute. It opened its doors in 2005.

The building houses static and multimedia exhibitions devoted to these rare mammals, which show the history of the species and their existence, tell about the secrets of biology and reveal the problems of threats and directions of porpoise protection in Poland.

In the museum, we can also find information about dolphins and whales recently found in the Baltic Sea, we will see documentary films and photographs, and numerous exhibits.

  • The ticket price is 2 PLN. for a normal ticket and PLN 1. for discounted

The construction of the museum was financed by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management under contract No. 515/2011 / Wn-50 / EE-BS / D for Co-financing in the form of a subsidy
