Restrictions on movement since March 25 and an order to stay at home due to coronavirus.

At 1 p.m. (March 24, 2020), a press conference of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Minister of Health Łukasz Szumowski took place, during which it was announced that new restrictions will be introduced in connection with the coronavirus epidemic.
Government officials have announced that a new Regulation will be issued today, according to which a movement ban and an order to stay at home will be introduced in Poland.

The restrictions are not intended to cover traffic in urgent life matters, such as grocery shopping, going to a pharmacy, drugstore or doctor. However, going out for assembly purposes and for walking as well as moving in groups of over 2 people will be prohibited.
The number of people who can participate in religious rites is limited to 5 people.

The prohibition does not apply to movement for the purpose of helping the relatives.
Penalties of up to PLN 5,000 are foreseen for breaking the ban on gathering.
The purpose of the movement is to be verified by the Police, assisted by members of the Armed Forces, delegated to support the Police already last week by the Minister of National Defense.

The new restrictions, including a travel ban, are to apply from March 25 to April 11. According to the Prime Minister, the new restrictions do not affect the date of the presidential election.

We will keep you updated on how this will affect the movement of people staying in holiday destinations after the publication of the above-mentioned act.
